It definitely is more striking in the second picture. Hopefully in the show from the first picture, though, many people went and took a closer look at your beautiful piece!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16634800.post-86829777064282011822008-08-13T04:29:00.000-07:002008-08-13T04:29:00.000-07:00Thanks for the links-I especially like Rosalie's w...Thanks for the links-I especially like Rosalie's work called "Awake My Soul" and "Baghdad". It is an opportunity to view a great variety of syles and techniques that most people (quiltmakers or not) would never have a chance to see.
Why were Roalie's quilts there, she lives in SAfrica?Delhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11433487427679233617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16634800.post-43628449683022244002008-08-12T18:24:00.000-07:002008-08-12T18:24:00.000-07:00I love the phrase "pipe and drape show." Call me a snob, but honestly, the people who hang QUILT shows have no clue about the visual impact and that pieces should speak to each other if they are hanging side by side. Don't get me started (you already did).

I gave up entering pipe and drape shows eons ago because I was so disgusted with the way my pieces were hung.

Think about it.Raynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02981832263645584878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16634800.post-73621379988223787342008-08-12T14:38:00.000-07:002008-08-12T14:38:00.000-07:00Wow, Terry, seeing those two photos of your quilt ...Wow, Terry, seeing those two photos of your quilt in the two different venues, really brings home our feeling that the quilt show wasnot doing our work justice.Gerriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06292762162661584206noreply@blogger.com
