I am loving the color orange right now. Maybe it is the need, after lots of rain and fog and misty colors of winter, for something warm. Or maybe it is something else, unknowable, but it is a color that just does it for me right now. It sings a deep and passionate song.
Good on you! I have always loved orange and wear it as often as I can find orange clothes. I have wondered if people don't like it because "orange" doesn't rhyme with anything and therefore it is rarely in songs or poems. .
ReplyDeleteI have come to love orange in recent years. I can't wear it, but we painted our kitchen a soft pumpkin color, and one of the bathrooms is an intensely bright (put sunglasses on!) orange with a yellow glaze faux finish. That room glows even when there isn't a light on. I made several sets of napkins in orange this year (for sale and gift). It's a great color.
ReplyDeleteIn my "honest" opinion,
ReplyDeleteOrange is the New Neutral!
Overlooked, but everywhere...
I've been having the urge to make something pink and orange. I think it's a reaction to the weather. (Orange: not just for fall anymore.)
ReplyDeleteOrange is an energy color; there was a time when I was using a lot of it in my work. I believe our bodies/souls crave certain colors at certain times just the way we crave certain foods from time to time.
ReplyDeleteGo with it!
My wedding colors are a deep autumn-amber orange and a plum purple. I am loving orange too! I am thinking most of my flowers will be orange, as the brides maids will be in the plum...now we are searching for orange shoes. Very hard to find!
