What I saw today

Gauguin at the Seattle Art Museum. It was a long day, but oh, so worth the drive.

25 years ago in Washington D.C. I saw my first Gauguin Art Show, I fell in love with color that day. His work is breathtaking.

  2. I so agree! Happy bday.

Wow, you did this as a day trip? That's kind of brutal, but glad you found it worth it. My office is two blocks from SAM and I haven't been yet (going next week). I'm also planning to come to Portland to see the Rothko exhibit before it leaves. Anything else going on there now of the "not to miss" category?

  4. So glad you got to see this!!!!

  5. I've always liked Gaugin's work. The people always seemed so exotic. Funny, now when I look at these faces, I see my neighbors! More so than ever, I appreciate his skill at capturing a likeness.
