This is my 800th entry to this blog. I just celebrated my 4 year blog anniversary, so that averages approximately 200 entries per year, approximately 4 per week. This number really stuns me. I know many bloggers post every day, some multiple times a day, but for me this is an accomplishment—and a joy. I have always done this for myself and for anyone else who cares to read, but it has been such a surprise to find that people do read, and comment and become friends in time. It is a community for me. I have been so lucky to find all this. And I have been lucky in receiving such generous gifts from other bloggers that I decided to send a little of that generosity back out into the blog world. Leave me a comment in the next few days and Monday morning I will do a random drawing. One of the things I will send is the small piece you see below. There may be some other things too! Tell me something funny or interesting. Tell me about your own blog and where to see it. Tell me what you like, or not, about my blog. It's all good!

I'm a bit type A and always heard 'do it right the first time' growing up. Makes it hard to let things not be perfect. Seeing you experimenting and messing about with some technique with no need for a finished work of art has been very inspiring. Happy 800. May there be many more. :)

I used your fusing method (with the liqui-fuse) when I read the post where you explained your method, I went out and bought the liquid and the tip. I made a turtle wall hanging using that method. I'm not too skilled yet, but it worked for me. Thanks so much for sharing. You've also inspired me to try doodling patterns when I quilt. The piece you are offering makes me smile. Thanks

ReplyDeleteYours has such a calm spiritual feel to it. I can relate to your disappointment in the saturation or lack thereof once printed on fabric. But had you not mentioned it, I would not have thought this was not what you had planned. I like it very much. Very creative.

ReplyDeleteI bookmarked the Liqui-fuse and edge finishing posts, and have learned to use both successfully. I really like Liquifuse - fusible only where you want it is a great concept! Your technique stuff is always interesting, and the grandbaby is adorable.

Hi there. I do follow the Twelve by Twelve and now I am following you. I quilt and now I have joined an art doll group on yahoo. I don't have the time but hey, the first doll I am doing is only 4 inches so it shouldn't take long. BUT, so far it has taken several days. I'm not even keeping it since it's for a swap.
