Twelve by Twelve reveal day!

Today the latest round of the ongoing Twelve by Twelve colorplay challenge is revealed! Our member in Hawaii suggested the color palette based on the colors of Kilauea volcano. Of course no sooner did she offer up the challenge than volcanoes began erupting around the world! My piece is called "Flow". The many interpretations of this theme are fascinating. Take a look!

  1. Wow. Love the curves, love the splash of color running through the not quite center with the jaggedness offsetting the curves. Off to look at the rest...

  2. I love this. Thanks for the link to the other 12 x 12's. It was fun to see everyone's interpretations. However I think I like yours best. Thanks for sharing.

  3. This is so Terry Grant. I find myself envying your talent, which is nutso, given that it's hard work and insight and thinking and looking that allows you to do such exquisite stuff. If only I would work hard, have insight, think, look long (and get some more training, perhaps?) then maybe I could be a Terry-Grant wannabee. One of those like-her-but-not-so-good....

  4. Such a good rendition of a lava flow. When I see something like this, I wish I understood your creative process. Maybe you should write a book about it.

  5. Another “love it!” here. What a great reveal! I do like the palette, unlike some of you Twelves who actually had to work with it. The similarity of many of the pieces is really striking.

  6. I didn't really care for the color combo when I saw the original palette but when I saw this I realized that it consists of those fabulous colors that you use so often in your work. The orange/adobe, stone, & natural hues that are in Mexican tile. It's perfect and I love it but then I'm a little prejudiced when it comes to your work.
    Nicely done Terry.
