But Tina's funny and Sarah—mmm, not so much.
Well, I'm not laughing.
P.S. It occurs to me that those of you not living in the US may not know who either of these women are.
Sarah Palin = Governor of Alaska, scarily conservative running mate of John McCain
Tina Fey = Brilliantly funny former writer for Saturday Night Live, now creator of, and star of, brilliantly funny "30 Rock" TV show.
Wow, isn't that amazing? I hadn't noticed that before. I've been so stuck on where I'd have to move if she ever became president that I hadn't noticed her looks...
ReplyDeleteI knew she reminded me of somebody!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd rather have Tina Fey as VP.
I was actually thinking that McCain was rather clever to choose a female running mate so as not to look so "old white man."
ReplyDeleteI'm still not voting for him though.
I just told Steve this morning that SNL is going to have to bring back Tina Fey!! I am sure they are going to have fun with this.
ReplyDeleteDid you read Maureen Dawd's editorial in the NY Times today?
ReplyDeleteVice in Go-Go boots? Read it! Very funny, although very scary too.
Wow, that is eerie....
ReplyDeleteI'd also rather have Tina Fey as VP, but that ain't happenin'...
Anjea
The American people are ready for change. Governor Palin will shake up Washington on both sides of the isle.
ReplyDeleteNo one outside his home state had ever heard of Dan Quayle either. And just look what he did for American politics.
ReplyDeleteThe physical resemblance is eerie. You are right that that is where it ends.
ReplyDeleteFeminist that I am cannot in right mind or conscience vote now or in foreseeable future for JM & SP.
I figured it would take a little longer to turn over the rocks but it looks like McCain really relied on some questionable advice in this case. Funny Terry, I kept looking at her and tried to think who it was she reminded me of. The resemblance it amazing.
ReplyDeletei'd vote for Tina.. oh well.. thanks for the laugh..
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Tina, but I don't watch tv so it figures. Don't even get me started on this other doozy.
ReplyDeleteTina Fey will definitely be making appearances on SNL if they win in November. I happen to like Sarah Palin and see her as a breath of fresh air for the republican party. A woman who gets things done.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Tina but oh we know all about Sarah - I just don't understand when it became professional to take your kids to work?!
ReplyDeleteBe afraid, be VERY afraid.
ReplyDeleteHelen, Bringing your kids to work is probably quite a bit more professional than having sex with a woman at work. JFK brought his kids to work and even had them photographed, which is a good thing for those kids because they had something tangible to look at and remember him by.
ReplyDeleteThat likeness is uncanny! I just had a cabinet man here working in Craig's office. He brought up politics, which I normally do not discuss with others, but I told him just how I felt about dear lil Sarah...and he was not amused, actually quite shocked! When he departed, we were still 'friends' but there was a coolness in the air!
