Sofia Graciela

Born March 22, 2007

Pictures taken this afternoon. What an improvement over yesterday! She is a sweetheart.

The little bit of quilt you see in the bottom picture is one that was made by a volunteer and donated for babies in the NICU. Parents get to keep these quilts. I may have to make a couple little quilts to donate back to them—I never understood how sweet that is to have a handmade quilt for your sick baby. It really softens the shock of seeing all those tubes and monitors. You can see how her little hand is all taped up to the IV.

I think she's a keeper. Is Emily with you or at her house or still in hospital? (You probably told us in the entry but I was so excited I didn't read carefully.

    Congrats. What a cute-ums!

Congratulations to you, and Sofia's parents.

I love being a grandparent. I expect you will, too.

  3. Congratulations and felicitaciones to the entire Familia Grant Molina! What a beautiful girl, and a name to go with it.... I love BOTH names, and Graciela reminds me of a girl in 2nd grade named Grace who was so nice to me, the new kid.

May you all find sleep when you can, and smiles when you can't!

    HUGS, Sarah

Oh, she is precious. I am so thrilled to see her.

My guild in Santa Rosa made hundreds of quilts for the NICUY. I went there to visit to take photos for our newsletter and it was so exciting and heartwarming to see the quilts over the incubators.

    Welcome to grandmotherhood!

  6. Terry, she is really beautiful, even though I'm not her grandma, LOL! Congratulations, and thank Heavens for a good outcome after her scary first day. I occasionally make little quilts for the NICU whenever I find the time, and love the thought that someone appreciates them as much as you do.

  23. Don't know 'bout you, but I think I saw her wink and gurgle, "Gramma, I love you!"

What a dollbaby, and what a lucky Gramma!

Do you have your "Gramma" name picked out? It's as important as picking the baby name?

I want to be Nana, my name is Nancy, so it's not too far of a stretch, lol.
